As a Production Welder you’ll work closely with the fabrication and assembly teams to ensure the timely production of components, contributing towards our clients commitment to excellence.

Hours: Monday – Thursday 08:00-17:00, Friday 08:00 – 14:00
Purpose of Role:
As a Production Welder, your primary responsibility will be to provide proficient welding support to meet their customer’s tight deadlines, often at short notice. Your expertise in MIG welding within a production environment will help drive our clients operations forward.
Key Responsibilities:
* Read technical drawings and measurements to fabricate accurate parts.
* Set up components for welding according to specifications, utilising appropriate tools and jigs.
* Operate hand tools and the overhead crane to transport materials, components, and jigs.
* Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
* Maintain welding equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
* Produce batches of components, ensuring compliance with specifications.
* Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate closely with the Production Manager, fabrication team, and assembly team.
Required Experience:
Essential:
* Proficient MIG welding skills within a production environment.
* Experience with various welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA, etc.).
* Competence in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
* Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect own work.
* Self-motivated and effective team player, ensuring smooth workflow.
* Comfortable working at a fast pace and meeting production targets.
* NVQ Level 3 qualification or Time Served.
* Willingness to contribute to Continuous Improvement efforts.
Desirable:
* Professional welding certification or prior coding experience.
* Forklift certification.
* Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and environmental considerations.
