NextGen Recruits raises funds for terminally ill children

Our Devizes-based recruitment team have walked a total of 70 km to raise funds for a children’s hospice.

By putting on their trainers and heading to London to take part in the Ultra Challenge walk, they have now raised £1,390 for Helen & Douglas House hospice.

Helen & Douglas House became the world’s first children’s hospice in 1982. The hospice helps families in Oxfordshire and surrounding counties to cope with the challenges of looking after a terminally ill baby or child.

The money raised by NextGen Recruits could provide a palliative care package for one child in their own home.

Helen & Douglas House’s Fundraising Manager, Andrea Baganz-Pritchard, commented:

Choosing to fundraise for Helen & Douglas House is fundamental to ensuring we can continue to support terminally ill children and their families.

Meeting the NextGen team was a delight, and we want to say a big thank you to them for raising money for our charity. We have recently opened a new shop in Marlborough High Street, so pop in and see the wonderful range of clothing and homeware we have. The shop is also currently looking for volunteers and donations.

NextGen’s Chief Executive, Alex Morgan, said:

I am so proud of the team. Despite some back and foot pain, they ploughed on, determined to raise money for children who need it most. We are also incredibly grateful to our clients and everyone for kindly donating.
