Our client is recruiting for a Site Technician to join their team based in Calne.
Contract type: Permanent, Full time.
Technician salary: 24,394.52
Technician hours: 07:30 – 16:30

The successful candidate for the positions of site technician will be advantaged but not required if they have any of the following:
Experience within the waste industry
Established skills and knowledge surrounding sampling
Experience in monitoring and the analysis of substances and liquids.
CIWM membership or equivalent would be a distinct advantage.
Reporting to the Site Manager:
Duties will include:
The monitoring and reporting on the leachate extraction system. Operation of the leachate treatment plant on a daily basis and ensuring that the discharge consent is adhered to.
The monitoring and reporting on the surface water system at the site. Ensuring the discharge consent is adhered to.
To provide recommendations to the management.
With respect to current best practice and latest technology in line with the above systems.
To effect daily repair, testing and maintenance to the above systems as required. If works are beyond the scope of one individual, identify and cost works to be presented to the site
manager for approval.
You must be computer literate and able to maintain and report from the company’s environmental database. Candidates are required to have a current clean driving licence, their own vehicle and enjoy a mixture of inside and outside work as well as be familiar with current waste legislation. Visits to other waste facilities may also be required, along with the operation of the weighbridge system when required.
