Salary: £27,228.75 P.A
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 to 17.00

3.0 Main Purpose of Job
*3.1 To generate, coordinate and secure sales leads and orders for aggregates, concrete, muckaway and associated products with the use of the telephone and computer equipment.
*3.2 To develop the Direct Sales business by increasing: a) Range of products sold. b) Geographical areas covered.
*3.3 To supervise, train and develop Customer Sales Advisors to achieve the required sales volumes, prices and margins through provision of a high quality service focused on the customer’s needs.
4.0 Key Tasks and Responsibilities
*4.1 Supervise the Direct Sales operation to ensure customer enquiries are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
*4.2 Provide options and prices (quotations) for aggregates, concrete, muckaway and other associated products and services to direct sales customers.
*4.3 Set up accounts and contracts for customers as required.
*4.4 Coordinate telephone cash sales in conjunction with the Sales Office Supervisor.
*4.5 Receive and record customer’s orders
*4.6 Liaise with quarries, concrete plants, suppliers and transport department to coordinate the servicing of customers orders.
*4.7 Liaise with suppliers regarding bought in products to ensure the best possible purchase prices are achieved to maximise margins.
*4.8 Coordinate field sales appointments for the Sales Representatives if required.
*4.9 Maintain the computerised sales quotation system.
*4.10 Achieve sales targets/budget and price increase negotiations.
*4.11 Conduct market research as directed by the Commercial Manager.
*4.12 Develop existing customer accounts.
*4.13 Attend and contribute to monthly sales meetings.
*4.14 Produce monthly performance reports.
*4.15 Manage and coordinate the direct sales department to ensure incoming telephone calls are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner.
* 4.16 Follow up the completion of orders by courtesy calling customers to establish their opinion of our service.
*4.17 To undertake any task reasonably assigned by the Commercial Manager.
5.0 General Responsibilities of All Staff
